Ecological Problems

I want to begin my story by Havelock Eliss’s quotation: “What we call “Progress” is the exchange of one nuisance for another nuisance”. As you understand I agree with this phrase.
It makes you think, that it is wrong opinion but I can prove that I am right.



For example cars and machines. They are result of technological progress. It is indisputably, that they make our life more simply. People don’t need to work in dangerous places or do dirty work. But at the same time cars pollute ecology. A great number of toxins, gases, toxic agents are thrown out in the atmosphere every minute. Such pollution kills our Planet Earth. Maybe you have noticed that there are many people who have allergy, asthma, chronic bronchitis and other illnesses of respiratory tracts. They all are sicknesses of bad ecology. All that problems are popular in our nowadays because our ecology becomes worse step by step.
Also in our world of technology and progress people forget about nature. Only some of them have take care about animals or have plants at home especially in flats. But it is very bad because we forget about our sources.
Martin Buber has said: “An animal’s eyes have a power to speak a great language”. As clear as a day that animals are our native souls. They are our friends, our ancestors.
There problems are on all over the world, my region isn’t an exception. We have a lot of mines and metallurgical works here. Also people destroy nature. Such work as “Ferotrade” pollutes air. There is only one person Vladimir Vygonniy who fights with it. But he’s alone and no one wants to help him.
Per se, technological progress is the different sides of the same coin. Its being good or bad depends only on us. There are such words in the song “Storytime”: “Searching heavens for another Earth”. I suppose that humanity will itself and take care of our planet. And we wouldn’t due other Earth.
